The Canavese Valleys, famous for its beautiful landscapes
is also an area famous for a series of typical products, a
distinct one of which is the Tomino, a fresh cheese of noble
origins appreciated today for its lightness and taste.
..........The pre-eminently
native land of the Canavese Tomino is Bosconero, a small village
with a great passion for the art of cheese making: an art handed-down
from father to son for generations, as happened in the Longo
family. In 1958 Antonio inaugurated his cheese factory, which
today is considered one of the most qualified in the area to
produce cheese only from selected fresh milk. Quality controlled
on arrival the milk is worked according to antique traditions.
Fresh Tomini and other cheese are ideal for the whole family
as they are wholesome yet light and with their delicate, exclusive
taste satisfy even the most demanding ‘bon vivant’.
With a touch of fantasy, a number of recipes with character,
ideal for starters and main courses, are easy to prepare. |
